Bushfire in Tasmania

Bushfire in Tasmania - A new approach to reducing our Statewide relative risk.

This report has been prepared by the State Fire Management Council. The report details the findings of a strategic assessment of bushfire risk in Tasmania, together with the results of modelling which was designed to test the effectiveness of different fuel reduction burning strategies. The results in this report have been used to inform the Fire Protection Plans that have been prepared by each of Tasmania's ten Fire Management Area Committees.
